Whether we pack for you or you undertake your packing, there are certain things that cannot and should not be packed. See below some of the following items so you’re aware of what these items are, make a plan what to do with them before the movers arrive.
It is important to make sure hazardous items are not packed and transported, this will affect any insurance policy that is covering your items for your move.

Movers know what hazardous items they cannot move or pack. These items can include, but aren’t limited to:

- Matches
- Propane cylinders
- Nail polish remover
- Paints and paint thinners

- Ammunition
Disposal of Dangerous Items
If it’s dangerous for moving companies to move these items, then it’s dangerous for you as well.These items can be easily replaced and repurchased upon arrival at your new home, this may mean it’s not worth the risk to transport them.
It will vary state by state how and where you can dispose of these items. Check you local council or state information regarding disposal of household hazardous items. Alternatively you can give such items to friends, family or neighbours.
